DO YOU QUALIFY FOR FREE HOME INSULATION?

If you are a home owner OR renting privately AND receive any of the following benefits, OR over 70, OR the state pension is your main source of income, you should be eligible for a 100% grant for cavity wall & loft insulation.

* Attendance Allowance
* Council Tax Benefit
* Disability Living allowance
* Housing Benefit
* Pension Credit
* Income Support
* Income based Job Seekers Allowance
* Child Tax Credit (if the earned income is less than £15,000 per annum.)
* Working Tax Credit (if the earned income is less than £15,000 per annum.)

DO YOU QUALIFY FOR ANY GRANT?

If you're a home owner or rent privately, the answer is YES.

You are eligible for a grant from around 45-55%, rising to 70%, dependent on your circumstances.

WHO SHOULD NOT APPLY HERE?

If you are in social housing, i.e. housing association, council housing, please do not apply here, but talk directly to your landlord.

To qualify for FREE HOME INSULATION you must be either a home owner or renting privately.

You must also be receiving an eligible benefit or tax credit, as listed to the right. People over 70 or those whose main source of income is the state pension are also eligible.

However, all home owners and those renting privately - but not on eligible benefits - qualify for government grants from around 45-55% and up to 70%, dependent on the property type and its location.

If renting privately, you need to get your landlord's permission. Those in social housing should contact their landlord directly and should not apply here.

All grants are subject to a survey of your property. Surveys are however, free.
